Located less than a mile from Mars Hill town center, the historic farm surrounding Lodge House stretches over 14 acres of forest and rolling pasture. Opportunities for adventure abound, including a wooded picnic area and a walking trail to the property's pinnacle point, which features a stone fire pit and views of nearby mountain peaks. Closer to home, the Lodge Stables covered patio and open air patios are great for lounging outside. 


A Modern Rustic Renovated Stable: 

Discover the very definition of rustic modern decor at the Lodge Stables. This recently renovated home features original curiosities such as sliding stall doors and a tin-roof ceiling, as well as stunning architectural details like the exposed wooden beams and massive stone hearth. 


The Lodge Stables keeps everyone well-fed and comfortable with a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a main bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bathroom. Head outdoors for a good time around the patio. Views of the estate and cool mountain breezes are best enjoyed from the covered patio! 


Need more space? You can also reserve Lodge Cottage (sleeps six guests), or Lodge House (sleeps up to 18 guests). Need a lot more space? The entire estate is eligible to be rented for groups of up to 28.

Home to Mars Hill University, the oldest college in Western North Carolina, Mars Hill is known for its thriving arts community and abundance of outdoor activities in the area, including mountain biking, zip lining, white water rafting, skiing at Wolf Laurel, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and exploring scenic points along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Mars Hill and is approximately 22 minutes to downtown Asheville. 


Important Property Notes

• Please note that Main Suite/Bedroom Two and its attached bath are only accessible by walking through Bedroom One.

• The picnic area and large fire pit are available for use, but are shared with the other properties on the estate as well as a wedding venue. Please enjoy these communal amenities!


• Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the indoor wood stove and/or the outdoor fire pit, please purchase wood locally upon arrival. 

Property Cancellation Policy

Please note that this property’s Non-Refundable Period is 31 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking. Cancellations are permitted outside of this period, per our vacation rental agreement. We encourage you to consider travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment against the unknown!
