The back deck overlooks a fenced courtyard and rolling pastures beyond.

The Lodge Cottage is the perfect home-away-from-home while you're visiting Western North Carolina. Whether it's quiet moments like reading or busy days filled with family activities, the memories you create here will last a lifetime!

Location Details

A visit to the charming mountain town of Mars Hill gives you the best of both worlds: convenience to Asheville, just 15 miles away via nearby I-26, and the delight of Madison County's majestic rural beauty. Home to Mars Hill University, the oldest college in Western North Carolina, Mars Hill is known for its thriving arts community and abundance of outdoor activities in the area, including mountain biking, zip lining, white water rafting, skiing at Wolf Laurel, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and exploring scenic points along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Mars Hill and is approximately 22 minutes to downtown Asheville. 

Important Property Notes

• The Lodge Cottage is adjacent to The Lodge House (the two homes are connected by the deck), and is next door to The Lodge Barn. While you may find that you have the whole estate to yourself, there is the possibility that the other two rental properties will be occupied during your stay as well as a wedding venue. 

• The Lodge Cottage has a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and sink. There is not a stove, oven, or dishwasher.

• The large fire pit and picnic area are available for use, but are shared with the other properties on the estate. Please enjoy these communal amenities!
• Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the indoor wood stove and/or the outdoor fire pit, please purchase wood locally upon arrival. 

Property Cancellation Policy

Please note that this property’s Non-Refundable Period is 31 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking. Cancellations are permitted outside of this period, per our vacation rental agreement. We encourage you to consider travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment against the unknown!
